Robots for CoronaVirus are used in hospital in Wuhan, China, the measure was necessary as the human staff was exhausted. As results workers relief as robot manage to take care for coronavirus patients nonstop.

Robots were provided by Cloud Minds Technology, a SoftBank-backed startup based in Beijing. Medical staff operator directed and controlled the robots remotely via a cloud platform.

“Robots do not carry diseases, and robots are easily disinfected,” Bill Huang, CloudMinds CEO and founder said in an interview.

 

CloudMinds make good use of robots like the humanoid Pepper, a service robot that uses facial recognition and natural language recognition to speak with humans  to cheer up COVID-19 patients at Chinese hospitals.

The emergency in Wuang is slowly disappearing and  the robotic staff will be kept operational in the smart field hospital in case they are needed again.
