Huggable is a robotic bear and want make you smile

Huggable is an app-controlled robotic bear designed by the MIT Media Lab. It’s mission is to make smile young patients during their staying at the Boston Children’s Hospital.

We have young patients that are here for medical procedure : they miss school,  they miss their friends, they are not doing what they normally do. We want to offer to kids like that just one more way to feel ok where they are.

The robot “scheleton” include an app and a mobile device as eyes and display , connected to the robot servos inside the body. The MIT’s Team hopes to improve the technology behind and whether it can have therapeutic value for hospitalized children.
