HyQReal – this robot pulls a plane with ease
HyQReal, a quadruped robot built by the the italian team IIT ( Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia) pulls a plane with ease.
The robot built to support humans in emergencies like burning building or narrow cavity. The skin is in kevlar and glass fiber and the battery of 48 Volt power to four motorized leg. Inside the “brain” there are two computer one for vision and other dedicate to movements.
The robot should be piloted by an human operator but it’s able to avoid obstacles on it’s own and showcase an incredible strenght capable of pulling a small plane.
The robot is similar to Boston Dynamic’s Spot in design but more focused on strenght and endurance , here is the tech specs :
