Recycling waste with the help of robots

Recycling Robots : Artificial Intelligence and Robotics combined to recycle our waste at high speed.  The robot build by AMP Robotics applies AI to waste sorting increasing the efficient of the whole system.

The robot’s AI “Cortex” trained with millions of images of objects, pick twice as fast as humans and with much greater accuracy — the company said.  The recycling waste robots can recognise different colours, textures, shapes, sizes, patterns, and brands to identify material characteristics.

The robot uses cameras and a  “Delta Robot” arm that moves in 3 axis and pick objects, similar to a 3D printer but with a gripper at the end. The configuration can scale up with two or more arms to increase efficiency.
