Robots to take care of Conoravirus patients

Robot used to treat and monitoring the first case of Coronavirus infection in the US. The robot has a critical importance as it limits the exposure of medical staff to the virus.

The model, InTouch Healt Robot “Vici”  is similar to Telepresence Robots like TEMI and Pepper Robot 

The robot is remote controlled by a Doctor and its equipped with a stethoscope. It can get people’s vitals data and communicates them to doctors who are not in the room with the patient through a screen.

“The nursing staff in the room move the robot around so we can see the patient in the screen, talk to him,” told CNN Dr. George Diaz, chief of the infectious disease division at the Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, Washington.
